MAKING “YES” AN OPTION IN YOUR LIFE

Because your needs matter, always.

Self-care isn’t always a trip to the spa or extended time away.

It’s the little moments of mindfulness that help anchor us to who we really are and what makes us come alive. According to the 2023 SeekHer Shift Report, 52% of women report feeling rest and more peaceful after engaging in self-care, and 67% recognize that saying “no” frees them up to what they can say “yes” to [1].

Yet, we recognize that burnout can often lead to lack of clarity around resting and recharging.

4 WAYS
to Say “Yes” To Yourself

Here’s how you can care for yourself in the in-between moments.

01

Release the guilt.

46% of women say they believe their productivity and output determine whether they deserve time for self-care [1]. Reframing self-care as an investment to both ourselves and our spheres of influence helps us to unlock acceptance of our needs, and to prioritize them just as much as we prioritize others.

02

Embrace flexibility.

When we begin to believe that the goal is growth, we are able to release the pressure to get everything just right. This is important, as self-compassion is a vital form of self-care that allows one to experience safety and freedom, even in the midst of busy seasons.

03

Find your people.

44% of women say they want to be able to share experiences with someone they trust [1]. Leaning into community allows you to find understanding, compassion and shared vision with like-minded people. We invite you to join SeekHer Circle, an online community space designed to help you do exactly that.

04

Understand the external factors.

Your resistance to saying “no” and setting boundaries isn’t all on you. Your social environment, community, upbringing, and societal structures are just a few of the external factors that affect your well-being. Understanding these factors can help you to let go of guilt, shame and the pressure to ‘figure it all out.’  To learn more about them, check out our SeekHer Shift Reports.
