Our
MISSION
As women, we’ve felt the weight of the world on our shoulders.
We’ve been told that our worth is measured by our appearance, our productivity, and our ability to care for others. It’s a heavy burden to carry, taking its toll on our mental health. But what about our own dreams? Our own right to simply be?
We don’t have to carry this burden alone.
At SeekHer Foundation, we believe in the transformative power of women’s well-being and leadership.
When women heal, they inspire change.
Our community-based approach is about recognizing that true well-being isn't just an individual endeavor; it's also about creating a world where women feel safe, valued, and supported.
We're here to help you on your journey — to provide the programs and resources you need to heal, lead, and advocate for change. Together, we can break free from the chains of societal expectations and create a world where women truly thrive.
Breaking Barriers,
BUILDING FUTURES
As the non-profit arm of WellSeek, SeekHer Foundation is bridging the gender gap in mental health through advocacy, research, and support for leaders who help women navigate vulnerable seasons of life. These include common challenges women face, such as body image and beauty standards, societal pressures related to caregiving and motherhood, career and leadership barriers, and workplace and community inclusivity.
Guided by our core LEAD values, we are committed to supporting women as they:
Lead the way to refine wellness and self-care standards to reflect the diverse experiences and needs of women.
Empower our sisters by creating safe and supportive community spaces where women can share their stories and experiences.
Advocate for change by challenging and dismantling barriers that create equitable opportunities for women to thrive.
Develop future leaders to uplift the next generation of changemakers, helping them unlock their full potential.
Our Approach
SeekHer’s work is grounded in our Interconnected Healing and Advocacy (IHA) framework. It recognizes individual healing and advocacy not as separate pursuits, but as intertwined forces navigating us toward a future of collective well-being and fulfillment.
Our LEAD Fund plays a crucial role in sustaining a virtuous cycle of community care by valuing the time and contributions of those involved in our community-driven initiatives. This transformative framework extends beyond the impact of personal growth to empower future generations of women leaders who are ready to pave the way.
INTERCONNECTED HEALING AND ADVOCACY (IHA) framework
(2024 Seekher shift Report).
The interdependence of individual healing (Reset, Receive, Reciprocate) and collective advocacy (Awareness, Alignment, Accountability).
We bring this to life by:
Healing Together in Community
We believe that connection and compassion empower women to navigate and grow through life’s vulnerable seasons. In collaboration with our community leaders, we create safe spaces where women can explore self-care practices that help them reset, receive support, and reciprocate healing to others as they cultivate their personal growth and leadership journeys.
Research-Driven Advocacy for Women
We advocate for women's mental health by raising awareness through data-driven insights and cultivating partnerships with mission-aligned allies and organizations. Together, we are committed to fostering a culture of collaborative accountability that ensures open dialogue and shared responsibility in advancing women's well-being in our workplaces and communities.
Investing in the Next Generation of Leaders
We empower emerging leaders — practitioners, advocates, and youth — to fuel and sustain the cycle of healing and advocacy. Eligible program participants access leadership resources and project stipends from the LEAD Fund to activate virtual and local safe spaces in their organizations and communities, catalyzing positive impact within their spheres of influence.
A letter from our
FOUNDER & DIRECTOR
In 2019, I suffered a mental breakdown. I was caught in a minefield of panic attacks, anxiety, and depression resulting from a traumatic event that triggered a cascade of emotional timebombs that had laid dormant for decades.
There were times when I didn't know if I would make it through the day, and in that season, something was born inside my heart. I knew that if I felt this way, I wasn't alone.
And in the darkest, most painful moments of my life, SeekHer Foundation was born — a symbolic place for me to stand in solidarity with all the women who felt the weight of it all on their shoulders and came out on the other side with a renewed sense of hope.
My own healing journey paved the way for how SeekHer was built — after parsing through decades of unprocessed emotions from buried childhood & intergenerational trauma, body image struggles, and the mounting pressures of caregiving for both my kids and parents.
And while I'm immensely grateful for how my privilege granted me access to care, it became abundantly clear that there was a gap in how our mainstream culture was talking about mental health.
What was often missing in the conversation was the fact that our state of mental health isn’t isolated to an individual. It’s how we experience our identities in relation to the people we’re in community with.
And women, in particular, have long been held back by a society that constantly defines their identities through unrealistic ideals and cultural expectations that have a significant impact on our well-being.
It's why I'm here to advocate for mental health alongside our community of allies and organizations, with the hopes of amplifying this message to more women —
You are not the embodiment of your pain. You are not defined by your struggles.
So here's to our collective healing & belonging, no matter who we are. Because when we own our stories, we reclaim what's always been ours.
