Our Bodies Belong
Shifting The Wellness Paradigm For Every Body
What is Our Bodies Belong?
At SeekHer Foundation, we believe a healthier community is one that is inclusive and welcoming of all bodies in the face of a size-obsessed wellness culture. By providing leadership resources and mentorship to body-inclusive health practitioners, Our Bodies Belong seeks to create new avenues that uplift community leaders who are redefining body & beauty norms in our homes, schools, and workplaces.
This SeekHer Foundation program is proudly supported by
BODY LIBERATION BELONGS TO ALL.
In recent years, more people have experienced a surge in eating disorders and body image dissatisfaction as part of their struggles with mental health. Weight stigma is pervasive among young people, with about a third of students stating they've faced discrimination due to their weight. In the workplace, 1 in 3 women report facing inappropriate comments about their body size. Throughout women’s lives, they feel the weight of constant body scrutiny while showing up in public spaces, homes, healthcare, the wellness industry, and even at work. To foster belonging and embodiment for our generation and the next, weight-inclusive practices and spaces are needed now more than ever.
As part of the SeekHer Scholars program, Our Bodies Belong was created to uplift health professionals through leadership, education, and community support at the intersection of body image and wellness. Whether your focus is on youth-based programs, community programs, or creating a weight-inclusive practice, we welcome you to join us in Our Bodies Belong.
If you are a dietitian, therapist, social worker, or allied health practitioner, we are excited to meet you! Join other practitioners in this space who are interested in expanding their one-on-one work into programs with lasting impact, while receiving continuing education and mentorship guidance from a community that’s deeply invested in your growth and journey. Applications are reviewed on a rolling quarterly basis, and recipients will be notified via iemail of their cohort start days.
