Minaa B.

Minaa B. is a writer, wellness coach and founder of Minaa B. Consulting where she works with organizations to help develop psychological safety. She sits on the Mental Health Advisory Board for Selena Gomez's media company Wondermind, is a co-host on the podcast Because Life With Sydel Curry Lee and is a contributing writer for Well + Good. Based in NYC, Minaa shares daily mental health tips on her popular Instagram account @minaa_b.

 

Dr. Jenny Wang

Dr. Jenny T. Wang is a Taiwanese American clinical psychologist, author, and national speaker on the intersections of Asian American identity, mental health, and intergenerational and racial trauma. Her professional mission is to destigmatize mental health within the Asian community and empower Asian Americans to prioritize their own mental well-being. She spearheaded the Asians for Mental Health therapist directory to connect individuals with culturally reverent mental health care for Asian American diasporas. She created the Instagram community Asians for Mental Health (@asiansformentalhealth), where she explores the unique ways in which Asian American identity impacts our mental health. Her first book, Permission to Come Home: Reclaiming Mental Health as Asian Americans, was published by Grand Central Balance in May 2022. She is a mental health advisory member of Wondermind and The Mental Health Coalition.


 

Christine Michel Carter

Featured in The New York Times and The Washington Post, Christine Michel Carter is a best-selling author, advocate, and the #1 global voice for all moms⁣. She helps women navigate the significant impact of motherhood on their professional careers. She elevates the honest truths of working motherhood as a Senior ForbesWomen Contributor, the author of the children’s book Can Mommy Go To Work?, and the author of the adult novel MOM AF. She is also a working parents and women’s ERG subject matter expert; employees have ranked her signature mental health talk the best corporate programming event of the year. She's also worked on the maternal initiatives of Vice President Kamala Harris and received a Congressional Citation from the U.S. Senate for going “above and beyond in ensuring that Black Moms and Moms of Color have access to important health information for their children and families.”

 

Dr. Jen Douglas

Dr. Jen Douglas (she/her) is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Jen specializes in helping women and gender-diverse individuals struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, and burnout. Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Jen enjoys providing education to the real world through her Instagram account (@drjenofficial) and facilitating workshops on coping strategies for stress, burnout, and working motherhood.

 

Dr. Janice Johnson Dias

Dr. Janice Johnson Dias, bestselling author of Parent Like it Matters: How to Raise Joyful, Change-Making Girls, is a renowned sociologist who has devoted her life to inspiring girls to become change makers — whether through her investment in her daughter Marley Dias’s humanitarian projects, or through her work with the GrassROOTS Community Foundation’s “SuperCamp,” which she co-founded ten years ago, she has trained hundreds of children in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Janice has also been working with Fortune 500 corporations, municipalities, health institutions, and leading non-profit organizations since 2003. Her work has focused on maximizing efficiencies by examining underlying incentive structures and organizational biases. She has worked with organizations on how to utilize and incorporate public health models into workplace infrastructure, culture and practices. She has also facilitated workshops with corporate women about prioritizing their well-being while working in unjust systems.

 

Dr. Kelli Hall

Dr. Kelli Stidham Hall is an Associate Professor in the Heilbrunn Department of Population & Family Health at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health. Trained as a social epidemiologist, Dr. Hall's research program uses interdisciplinary approaches to study the social and structural determinants of maternal and reproductive health and health equity in the U.S. and Africa. Her >15 years of clinical experience as an advanced practice nurse informs her other research on integrated care models and implementation science to address the intersections of women’s reproductive, mental, and behavioral health across the life course. Among numerous leadership and service positions, Dr. Hall serves on Board of Directors of the Society for Family Planning; Executive Committee of the National Medical Committee of Planned Parenthood Federation of America; and the Anti-Racism Task Force and Faculty Steering Committee at Columbia. Her work has been widely recognized, including the National Academy of Medicine’s Emerging Leader in Health and Medicine Award.

 

Melody Li

Melody Li (they/佢) is a colony-born migrant and diasporic settler on Turtle Island embodying a number of structural privileges. They are a queer therapist of Color, speaker, educator, and activist. They founded Inclusive Therapists: a social justice-oriented mental health directory and community that celebrates the strengths & centers the needs of marginalized communities. They also founded Mental Health Liberation, a nonprofit that works to bridge BI&POC with free quality therapy, empower Clinicians of Color, dismantle systemic inequity, and reclaim healing for melanated, marginalized and displaced Peoples. Melody offers collective care and education focusing on decolonizing mental health and healing racialized trauma.

 

Yolanda Renteria

Yolanda Renteria, BSW, LPC, NCC is a Trauma Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor in Private Practice at Latibule Counseling (latibulecounseling.com) in Arizona. She is trained in EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Brainspotting, and DBT. She also owns Yolanda Renteria, PLLC (yolandarenteria.com), where she provides Somatic Processing Sessions, psychoeducational workshops, and speaking services. She is passionate about helping people break generational cycles and thrive in parenting and relationships. Aside from her work in mental health, she is an Adjunct Faculty Psychology Professor at Northern Arizona University and utilizes social media platforms to bring awareness of generational cycles that perpetuate trauma. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with her family.

 

Alyssa Mancao

Alyssa "Lia" Mancao, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker, and alumna of Cal Poly Pomona and also received her masters in social work from the University of Southern California. Born in the Philippines, she immigrated to the US at age 4, fostering a deep interest in the psychological intricacies of first-generation immigrants and their families. Currently, Lia is the founder of the group practice, Alyssa Marie Wellness, a  space offering reiki energy healing and psychotherapy. Her clinical expertise spans cognitive behavior therapy and EMDR. Lia also lends her insights to POPSUGAR's mental health advisory board and has her written works shared through platforms like The Knot and Mindbodygreen. Guided by a mission to help others and destigmatize mental health, Lia works with individuals to unlock their discernment, unearth inner tools, and embrace a life of true significance.
