“In order to make our communities more equitable and just, we first need to help more women rise to positions of power. Since 2016, we have seen more female candidates running for office than ever before, and organizations have popped up across the country to help give them the tools they need to be successful. I truly believe that with time, this will change the game, and we each need to do our part to find those strong candidates and support them. And second, employers must find ways to increase access to parental leave and flexible work options so that we don't inhibit talented women from pursuing their journey to the top.”
